steel > plastic front bumper am i crazy?

i own a 1986 bronzit diving board e30, tucked rear bumper, nice factory ES valance, i hate how the back looks, even with the tucked bumper the car looks raked.
i just bought a black 1990 in addition to the 86, with plastic bumpers, factory side skirts that go half way up the fenders im having a hard time finding any pics of them but when i look at the noses side by side i cant help but think the 86 looks nicer with that front valance & diving board than the 90 with plastic bumpers.... anyone else feel this way?
do they make a nice lip for the 90?

I think you are crazy, Only thing DB's look better than is dirt. It's all about Euro's or plastic conversions.

      I would have to agree^^^

The US DBs make the car look cheap IMO

The plastic bumpers just seem to suite car better.
If u are a fan of the DBs then look at the euro ones. Much nicer and not as chunky.

^what they said. However I am starting to thing that metal euro bumpers are better than plastic.

Euro bumpers > plastic swap > stock plastic > diving boards.

                /thread.

Don't put an is or es spoiler under plastic bumpers. It's not how BMW intended it to look and looks dumb.

i dont mind the metal bumpers but i like the late model valance more than my 'under bite' looking es apron

the side skirts aint factory. they are either Zender or BBS. As for the bumper i do like the look with the db with a es or is valance. but the rear is usally fugly. Maybe try to find a rear apron for the db¿

since your chances of finding a set of euro bumpers in pretty much slim, go plastic bumpers. early models with plastic bumpers look so much better than any late model imo.
