    325es metal side skirt question

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking at an '86 or '87 325es for sale and the side skirts are made of metal instead of the plastic or fiberglass they usually are. Has anyone heard of this or have any idea why they would be that way?
    Thanks for any info.

Never heard of that. The 325es didn't come stock with side skirts.

      perhaps Home made?

this would be a huge warning sign for me, are they detachable, or put on to hide rotten rockers?

inspect the underside of the car well.

I'll take a couple pictures the next time I look at the car. The rust thing had crossed my mind, too.
