      Ok heres car #2
I have been reallly busy so no time for pics

      Before:

      sun damage:

      prep:

      Base coat:

Also did red tails and included IS lip:

      Cleared:

      After:

If you look closely at the hood you can see some contamination but no runs!
This car required ALOT of prep due to a VERY poor quality respray before. Others said they wouldnt paint it for less that $1500 but I think it came ok pretty good!

Looks good for 500, but not better than factory... I find it hard to believe that you say the stock paint sucks.

He did earlier in another thread. Most of the contamination looks buffable though, but you can't really tell from pics.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

True on some cars, but high end cars really dont have imperfections in their paint. Most of the time its just orange peel and what not but the quality of the paint and clear coat isnt bad. Thats why newly resprayed cars easily chip where original paint is harder to chip.

+1 Factory paint is hard as fuck against chips. And yes I see what you mean there tends to be a lot of orange peel in factory paint jobs.

Sorry dude, but that roof doesn't look very good to me at all. From 10 ft. it looks fine, but those close-ups make me really question what it looks like in person. Pictures usually hide the imperfections.

I wouldn't let my car come back from paint looking like that even if it was free.

I'll take my factory paint even with some age spots showing.
