Feedback Sought Re. VIS or Carbon Creations Deck/Trunk Lid

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either the VIS or a Carbon Creations CF deck/trunk lid relative to quality, fit & installation.

I bought a vis trunk lid from eBay. They sent me an e46 lid. It took some hassle and time but I got the lid back to them and then was told that the e30 trunk lid was on back order and doesn't fit great anyways. I accepted my refund. I don't know anything aboutthe other company though. Sorry.

VIS is ok for a track car. Fitment on the hoods is notoriously poor.

We have used the VIS hoods on a number of track cars & agree that the tolerances aren't quite German, but have been able to make them fit & look reasonably well. Their quality is however much better than another major California maker of everything aerodynamic for BMW.

We're looking for a carbon fiber decklid that can bolt up to the trunk lid hinges as opposed to pinning an Ireland fiberglass piece for example - there's always the chance that it falls over in the paddock area, gets scratched etc. The VIS lids do mount this way using stock hardware, but the Carbon Creations lids can be had for almost $200 less. Their descriptions however, are generic, & don't talk about how they mount. Given the VIS hood fitment history, I was hoping someone might have had a positive experience w/ a Carbon Creations product.

Aside from Competition Concepts, expect same low quality fitment.
