    Windshield gaskets/lock strips

I'm replacing the front & rear windshield gaskets/lock strips on my 85 325e. I was ready to purchase the shadowline stuff. Then I impulse-bought a set of early model gaskets and strips (chrome) because I got a great deal, thinking I'd just paint the lock strips with trim paint. Now I'm having second thoughts, and would like to buy the late model black lock strips for a better quality solution.

Problem is, the early and late model gaskets are different part numbers, almost as if they also changed the trim design when they switched to shadowline.

So my question is, if I buy shadowline lock strips, will they fit properly in my early model gaskets? Or do I need to buy late model gaskets to go with them?

The lock strips below will work for you in either finish.

    Chrome

The seals change but the lock strips did not IIRC.

      Thanks for the info!

I ordered all the black trim, it's identical in size/shape to the chrome trim.

So I have the chrome trim for sale if anyone wants it.

Black was the right choice for your car. PM me a price on the chrome stuff, buddy might want it for his Henna 325e.
