    M Tech I spoiler removal

I've never done anything of the sort so I thought I'd run it by you guys....

My new e30 was purchased with an M tech I spoiler. Although I like it as far as spoilers go, I'm just not really a spoiler type of guy. I'd like to remove it but I'm not sure if it's doable without ruining the trunk. I'm assuming there's a couple of bolts and some sealant and/or glue under there.

Anybody have any advise as to how I should go about removing this thing?
I'd rather not have to purchase another trunk lid. Any chance a smaller 318is spoiler uses the same holes as the M tech?

Any advise would be appreciated as I'm admittedly a giant noob when it comes to anything involving body work

Thanks....that's good news. Could save me from a fill/sand/respray scenario.

Now I just need to figure out how to pull it off without damaging the paint...

I don't see how unbolting the 6 nuts are going to damage the paint?! They're accessible from the bottom side of the trunklid.

I'll check it out....was doing some reading and it seams as though some guys used sealant to keep water out. Assuming there's no glue, it's the sealant I would be worried about damaging the paint.....and again, I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff so perhaps there's nothing to worry about at all haha.

I must say the spoiler is growing on me a little. If I do end up selling it I'll let you guys know on this thread first so nobody misses an opportunity to buy it.

Thanks for the inquiries so far fellas
