I want to tuck my diving boards, but I can't cut ordrill the bumper shocks because I dont have the right tools. Is there any other way to tuck them? It's an 87 325e

Yep, driving into a brick wall r3v style will do.

88 bumper shocks are slightly smaller and will give you some tuck.

But why not just go buy a cheap $20 drill and just drill them?

            Don't beat around the bush,

the best, easiest, and cheapest way to do this is to remove the bumper until you have a vision of the shocks and simply drill them. When you drill, you may need to drill each absorber more than once on drifferent positions because they have multiple chambers. Go to a pawn shop and buy a cheap drill. Good luck.

I have a drill, and the bits, but I can't get it to pierce the shocks. i was just going to take the shocks off, but I don't know what all to remove. Obviously the nuts, but is there anything else?

Ok, you need a SHARP bit, if not patience. You need to keep the drill bit rotating in a single spot until it gets hot enough and you're gonna start seeing it working little by little. Don't get discouraged.

Take a hack saw and cut into the side of it when you get to the inside the hacksaw will help prevent some of the mess too. super easy
