    IS Side Skirts

Anyone have a template they made for installing these?

I don't want to swiss cheese my rocker panels. I'm scared to even drill into them w/o a template.. some shops want to charge me an arm and a leg to install.

Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I installed mine with 3M trim tape. Only holes drilled were on the rear where the rivets go. That tape is near impossible to get off if you prep right.

Tape-easier install, harder to remove and clean?

I am considering putting on IS skirts and this seems like a good solution since I want to drill as few holes as possible. I am wondering though, how often should you be removing your skirts to clean? I heard over time skirts can keep lots of junk tucked up in them that eat away at your panels..

I would think its subjective based on where you live and drive. I recently pulled my inner fender off due to the car going in for body work and I had a fender full of what looked like premium top soil yet I don't drive through yards lol. The skirt however had nothing inside it so I'm thinking the dirt was from the PO.
I think if you are doing normal driving on normal roads it will be fine for a few years. The clips on the pinch seam really hold the skirt on. all the tape does is keep it close to the body. I ran the tape full length and so I suppose it also seals off the top from debris sliding down into them.
