fitting non-cabrio side skirts on a cabrio

read a lot of threads that the skirts from a coupe/4 door will fit a cabrio with modifications.....but what exactly needs to be done so they fit nicely?

Hack up the bottoms to clear the bigger rockers on verts.

This is when it helps having one of each to see some of the problem. The cabrio has a lower valence compared to the coupe. You know me, I've searched and researched.

I've posted somewhere here a silver cabrio with them and something was just not right.

I'm not sure how to ask this relative to everything else, but are the doors just shorter on a cabrio, do the rockers extend lower down with the doors being similar (i know doors are vert specific), or is it a bit of both? Basically, is a stock cabrio rocker closer to the ground than a stock coupe one?

Interesting question V but I'm pretty sure that the rocker on the cabriolet is lower to the ground.

the rockers are taller for support of the chassis not having a roof, Beefier you can say including the strut tower braces. there's an article on it somewhere explaining the difference or it might be in a pamphlet that came with my car.
