Vert 1988 bumper shocks same as plastic bumpers?

Just picked up a set of plastic bumpers for dirt cheap. However, they were cut off at the shocks. Can i use my '88 vert shocks to mount these? TIA

Metal bumper cars and plastic bumper cars use different shocks.

You'll definitely need plastic bumper specific shocks.

thx for the info. I looked up the parts on realoem and they are indeed different. I thought since '88 was the transition year I might have been lucky
