    Matching door handle to exterior

Saw this E30 photo online and noticed it has door handles that match the exterior body paint (and no keyhole!). Did a search and got zero results. Anybody ever done this before that could give some tips or insight?

I have them. very easy to do. just clean your existing door handles. primer, sand, seal, paint.

they are held on by 2 screws so it's easily removable. Just be sure to tape off the 2 impact rubbers on the back (late model handles only)

Did you also do the keyhole? My keyhole trim is black.

Also any idea how this guy completely got rid of his keyhole?

no i didn't that is a bit complex and it involves welding and grinding metal into the socket. simply puting bondo over it is asking for toruble considering how much shock your door experiences.

I wouldn't recommend it because that would mean you can only lock/unlock your car from the trunk

Yea I would never do a full keyhole delete but painting the black trim around it to body color might look nice :D
