    valance paint

I have a set of foglight delete plates and a lip that need to be painted, but I don't feel like having them sprayed D-schwarz is necessary. The plates and lip are going to get chipped regardless of the quality of paint being used. Anyone know of a good rattle can color alternative to D-schwarz?

If it were schwarz, you'd have better luck with plain rattle cans but the metallical almos charcoal look of d-schwarz is going to be hard to replicate. Unless you buy d-schwarz in a spray can like from www.paintscratch.com

I'll probably go that route. There's a local shop that sells single stage oem paint in spray can. Probably better than running the risk of a 'slightly off' match

Yeah, I've heard that locally you can get color matched paint for pretty cheap too. My friend paid only about $35 for a quart of Alpine white II for paint the front lip and bumper on his E36. It was good quality.

this thread red my mind. I have my euro valance on my 318 right now, and lets just say the burgendy car, silver valance color combo is less then flattering. I was discussing options with james, and I figured if i looked around I could find some one to color match me a quart or so, I have a sprayer and all that, might as well do it right, even tho its gonna get pwned by rocks and what not. Irionicly, my valance will probly be the best looking paint on the car for a while lol :ohsnap:
