That is an late model Mtech 2 replica bumper. Mtech 1 is a metal bumper and plastic lower like my white one in my sig. You will need to fab up your own brackets.

These should work, you will need to epoxy them on to your new bumper.

          Good luck!

Yes, these will go through the front valance mounting holes directly forward of your front wheels.

so this it goes where the bumper shocks usually do?

No. In your 2nd photo where you said "this the old bumper how it had mounting brackets on the side". These brackets would go there, directly forward of your front wheels, not on the front of the car. If they will not work for you, you will have to have some made at your local machine shop. $$$$$

Sorry, I have no idea. Have you contacted the manufacturer of your bumper to see what they have to offer?

The problem you're running into is one of the main reasons most people recommend against buying replica kits. The hassle of making mounts or doing custom work kind of negates any savings over the real deal genuine BMW parts, which really don't cost all that much more.

That said, probably the best way to make the fiberglass bumper work is to mount it in a way that's as close to OEM as possible. That way you can use OEM bumper shocks with it, and the side brackets. It'll take a lot of the guess work out of it.

You'll want to get a cheap OEM front plastic bumper that you can use for parts. You'll need the inner bumper reinforcement and also need to remove the guides which are plastic welded to the bumper skin. You just grind down the plastic welds that hold the guides in and you can remove them from the bumper skin.

Here's some pics from one of Vlad's old threads. If you're going to do it then this I'd say is most proper way to mount a fiberglass bumper.

You'll find more info in the thread here: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=182981

Oh God , That Reminds Me !!!
My Original Lower Piece Was Broken Last Year . And I Had to To Use A Replica , because It's Damn Hard to Find An OEM m-Tech II Front Bumper Only .
                          So I Used Fiber-Glass , and it's Rubbish . But WTF should I Do . My Car is An Original M-Tech 2 . But I can't Find The Lower Piece .

But As I Can See Here . There's Alot Of Shit Goin On With The Replica Upper Piece .
But You're Solving The Problem Well :)
                          Good Luck Mate , and That's An M-Tech 2 Kit .
