I've attained a good quality reiger m3 knockoff front. I had a friend take a look at it who knows e30s and he says it'll fit with little fuss. What goes into installig these? I know that for sideskirts and bodypanels lots of fiberglass bonding needs to be done, but is there much on a front bumper, I mean it covers everything from above the bumper to the wheel wells. Let me know if you've fitted one before and give me a quick idea what is involved.

yeah... youre not gonna find alot of people here that like the way those things look, theres a reason that they made them for e46s, e46s were designed to look good with that front end, e30s however were not.
most people here, including myself, would tell you to get something that goes better with the look or the car that you do have.
but for being on topic, find someone that has one, maybe do a search, dont think anyone here has one so you might want to try a different forum.

I might think it will look like piss but what does that matter if you like it
An E30 owning friend of mine told me a story of trying to fit one of those over the bumper fiberglass front airdams on his friends E30, they worked on it for hours ripping things appart to get it to fit, brought it to a body shop and it still didnt get on right... so it will probably be hell.. there is no good way to mount those bad boys

Alrite thanks for all the negative feedback. I think I'll wait on purchasing it. The problem is I have an early model car (84) and I can't mount a new valance and iS lip. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure something that covers the entire valance and bumper is my only option.Comment

yes you can, it bolts right up. you just have to cut the tow hooks off. the rear isn't as easy, but it can be done too.Originally posted by caleAlrite thanks for all the negative feedback. This is the only way to go. I made the same mistake as Hatchmans buddy and tried to fit a cheapie fiberglass one to the front of an 86es. Once we got it mounted It looked like hell, the car needed some kinda really deep sideskirts to match and never cood find any kind of rear valance to come close to matching the look that we were going for in the first place. So in the end the time and money wasted on that thing would have been better spent on a late model swap or mtech kit. Not tryin to be negative, just hopin to save you the heartache.
