    School me on painting Bcaps?

I didn't know whether to put this on wheels and tires or here. But I have a set of rough Bottle Caps on my car while I have a better set in nicer condition in my attic. So I came up with the idea of painting them black. All I am asking if you think there is a better color to do it with other than black on a calypsorot? What kind of paint should I use? I'm most likely going to rattle can them. Any specific prepping? Thanks.

Here are pictures I had photo shopped with my car lower and with black rims:

Painting them sounds like a good idea and everyone does it. A week later you go fuck they looked better silver. I'd just redo them silver.

Well the one's I have are a bit gnarled up, and with the other pair I have just use these for the winter and in the summer put some nice tires on the other bcaps. Or get some enkei 92's. But it really is a bad idea?

Repaint them silver. I always regretted painting or buying any of my wheels any other color.

I painted my winter wheels dark bronze-ish (I think it was a brown Rustoleum hammered spray; I forget the exact color) with silver (Rustoleum) lips. It hides the winter muck and is easy to clean in a hurry when washing the car at 33 degrees! I don't mind the look, either. Since the photo, I've gotten chrome lug nuts, which improves the look IMO.

And the car is also higher now--Eibach Pro-Kit and Pittsburgh potholes didn't make a good combo for me, so I switched to M3 springs.

Most important thing is to get them CLEAN. Like, as clean as new. The cleaner they are, the better the paint will stick. Get a few different size/shape brushes and go to town with some super cleaner or the like. I did a set of weaves a while back and they came out great ans have yet to chip/peel after almost a year.

If you don't want to dismount the tires, this is a good way to mask around the edges:

Playing cards work well, but any paper will work really.

Don't paint them black. My PO painted my bottlecaps black, and they look nasty. Look like steelies from 15' away when the car's in motion. Paint them silver or something. Hell, paint them lime green. Just not black.
