    Door alignment on a sedan

My 1990 had a break in sometime in its past life that looks to have either bent the upper window guide outward, or a half ass door install at some point left the door badly aligned. My guess is when the dipshit pried the door open (obvious from the gouges to chrome trim above corner of the door) they bent the window guide frame. This is creating an extremely annoying wind noise that I'm tired of hearing. What forms of adjustments can resolve this? I hear shimming the hinges, but is the striker adjustable? The most dangerous method I can think of is using something to hold the door open and bending it back. By supporting the bottom corner with a short 2x4 between the body and the door I can attempt to bend it back into alignment by pushing in on the upper rear corner. This is a last ditch idea that I'm hoping someone here can provide alternatives to before I fuck something up.

The most noticable angle, ignore the hand I was blocking the rain. This angle shows how the top seal doesnt even fall in behind the gutter like the other doors

Just below the window, the misalignment is still obvious

You can see how the middle/upper door protrudes further than the rear door

Its hard to tell, but both doors are equal below the side mouldings.

From the side, the panel gaps are equal and the door doesnt seem to be misaligned

A striker adjustment should pull that in and it looks like the gap is even so you may not have to bent anything. Try that first.

A striker adjustment should fix the problem, however the bottom of the front door would then be in further than the back door. If you can live with that, fine - if not, you'll have to go with the block of wood method to un-twist it.

Another option would be to sit in the car with the door slightly open and push on the bottom with your feet while pulling in on the side of the window frame.

Also, make sure the window is down when you do this.

Awesome thanks, I'll try the adjustment when this damn rain stops and see if I can get any improvement. Last time I had a striker out I dont remember seeing much, or any adjustability in the mounts but I will try again. If not, I'll be sure to keep the window down while pushing on the guide as I'd REALLY hate to shatter the glass.

Well the striker adjustment tucked it in VERY little, almost unnoticable. I just loosened off the bolts and tapped it with a rubber mallet. I will be doing some careful bending tomorrow if the rain lets up, hoping for the best, I'd really hate to fuck my door by using too much force

          EDIT:
Door has been "modified" by bending the top of the frame slightly, it worked to eliminate the misalignment at the top of the door frames but has not solved the noise issue. When I compared the door to the passenger side by sitting on the interior I realized that the leading edge of the window guides is barely touching the door seal on the driver side, but making firm solid contact on the passenger side. The difference looks to be roughly 1/8"-1/4", I was not able to push it in any further to solve this but I'm thinking of taking a look for any potential shimming issues on the hinges. The rear of the door where the striker connects is very firmly pressing against the door seal, similiar to all the other doors.

With the help of a friend and a wood block wrapped in a cloth I was able to use strength and planned placements of the block to close up the gaps between the door and the frame. The door now fully contacts the seal on all edges and is nice and quiet!
