    How to remove tucked bumpers...

So I've been reading how easy it is to remove the aluminum bumper (mine's an 84).

However on my car with tucked bumpers (done by PO) I can't get at the 13mm fasteners from shock to bumper.

    Anyone pulled this off before?

This is *so* easy. They pull back out.

          1. Chain bumper to a steel post
          2. Start engine

            5. Dump clutch.
            6. Problem solved!

Just because the guy is new doesn't mean he lacks an r3v style sense of humor.

I figured they would pull out. I removed a rather large screw from under the shock location, so do people drill through the shocks once collapsed?

It's in the garage for a full redo, so starting and moving are no longer options.

                  Thanks for the input!

They drill the bumper shocks to release the fluid when compressed then another hole is drilled to pin the bumper in its compressed position with a bolt/screw just remove the bolt and pull out the bumper.
