    very unfortunate happening.

Went to install my is lip today and the passenger side lower valance is dented in a bit. Very un-natural fit of the lip obviously, think i should try and straighten it or get a new valence? Seems hard to straighten back to its normal shpae, but its not to bad.

      Depends on:
A: How badly bent the valance is
B: How handy you are w/ a hammer and dolly
C: How much $$ you want to invest

A brand new valance cost bout $250 and comes unpainted obviously. Also replacment require's removal of the entire bumper, grills & a few other small misc. items

                Bzzzzt....

the late valance has a bunch of small bolts that hold it to the rad support, a couple that hold it to the fenders. Most are 8mm head, but a couple are 10mm head. There are 2 at the top edge, behind the bumper, then there are 2 at the bottom, in the brake duct/foglight holes (you have to remove the brake duct to get to them). There are more that hold the fender to the ends of the valance- 2 on each side I think- and one of those is the upper bolt for the bumper end bracket- you have to get it from the backside.

EDIT: almost forgot about the 2 small bolts that attach each side of the valance to the lower part of the front fender- the part just below the front side grilles. There should be an 8mm head bolt on top, and a small torx bolt on the bottom side. You don't have to remove these completely, the holes in the fender are slotted so they slide out once you loosen them.

Not a difficult job, but you do have to remove the bumper.

I'd try hammering it straight with it on the car first- then remove it if that doesn't work.

                Bret.
