Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating for interior?

Has anyone used this before? Last weekend I scraped off the sound deadening tar under my rear seat and it left a lot of residue. From what others have mentioned, I plan on getting some mineral spirit to wipe/scrub off what I can. I wanted to paint the entire section black, and I'm wondering if I use a thick spray such as the truck bed coating spray, would it be thick enough to hide any imperfections if there is any residue left from the sound deadening material? The areas on the sides where the "bar" is seems to be a difficult area to take off all the residue perfectly. Thanks

Why are you worried about how it looks under your rear seat?

Some guy on here mentioned using wd40 to get the residue off. I tried it and it worked pretty good!

I used it on my whole interior, came out really nice. Do multiple coats and use a roller with some texture to build it up a little bit.

That's awesome. I have friends who make coffee for a living, but you don't see me rocking out a bunch of lattes

I think it loses its flammability when it's dry.

Anyone else can give input on the flammability issue? If its as dangerous as it sounds like ill remove it this weekend instead of sanding and touching up some spots

Any solvent, spray, or paint is flammable. I don't think its a valid reason to not do something.

Diesel is good at removing residue
