    how to remove front fender?

Noob question, but what tools are needed to remove the front fender? are there any helpful tips to make the job easier / less destructive?
I notice some bolts along the top edge under the hood, but then what looks like some kind of glue/rubber cement type stuff near the windshield. What's the best way around this and must it be replaced/resealed? Also, how is the fender held on along the bottom edge and bumper?

I recently pulled mine off, I think from memory all of the nuts/bolts were 8mm, you will also want a decent extension bar to get to a couple of bolts. There are the visible ones along the top, one or two at the bottom of the guard and two on the inside - you have to pull off the inner plastic wheel well guard, then stick your head in there and look back towards the door.

I think that is all of them. I had to cut at the silicone on one side to help it come away and the bottom of it was also filled with silicon and a bit of rust so I had to get at it with a knife, screw drivers and a pry bar. When I put them back on I will redo the silicone along the top.

    Hope that helps

There are also a few bolts in the front holding it to the valence. One is upside down underneath the corner of the grill and is easy to miss.

Haha thanks, I had previously pulled my valence off so I didn't have to worry about that!

now I'm trying to decide what's more of an eyesore on the car - the fender in it's current fubar state or no fender at all..

Most people get another fender then remove and replace at the same time. Just sayin'

If you take the fenders off the car and bring it to a track day, you could enter it in Formula 3-series!
