how much was your body work/paint job?

i know a lot of people on here have had work done. i'm just curious as to what your car looks like before and after as well as how much you paid for the body work and paint. do not include wheels or mods in this price. only paint and body work costs.

if you post something ridiculous like a nice paint job for $600 please tell us that your relative or best friend did it.

I paid a total of about 2000 dollars, which most of it was the materials (3 stage paint gets expensive very quick). Both cars were done about 6/7 years ago.

and one of the other cars, I did a majority of the body work myself, the complete job was about 800 dollars and a few cases of beer (good friend deal)

I paid approx 3500 total for bodywork and paint job. It was a bit expensive, but its cause the car needed a good amount of body work with dents and some rust removal, so it was worth it.

$4,500. Windows out full respray, no real body work just minor windshield scuttle rust repair

I had the whole body takin down to bare metal and and door dings removed. Was resparyed the original alpine white using basf glasurite paint . Paid just under $10k a year ago.

This thread is actually really helpful! I've been weighing all my options. I got quoted 2,500 to do the bay/exterior/jambs. And thats only id I bring a rolling, stripped shell. If anyone in the NE can paint well, hit me up! I can't afford to pay a shop full out.

that is not only paint its around 300 hours of repair

You might need to specify that ahead of time otherwise people just look at your post and wonder what mystery paint process is in use. 300 hours of repair makes it more plausible. At the end of the day isn't it still a MAACO paint job? I've not heard the best reviews about MAACO but to each his own...
