what is the real difference between zinno and brilliantrot?

I have an 88 325is in Zinnoberot that has euro bumpers. I have a post in the classifieds section looking for a set of plastics to replace my euros. A few people have replied but are unsure if their bumpers are zinno or brilliatrot. Some say all models 89+ are brilliantrot. Ive researched but havnt found a solid asnswer. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dan

The real difference, is the length of your peepee. No but really, zinno was slightly darker (deeper?) than brilliant

It would be very obvious if you mixed Zinno and Brilliant panels. It won't look good at all.

Is it just me or is zinno the hardest color to find in the history of mankind?

I don't think so. We have a zinno '86eS and a zinno 325i sedan here just for parts. I feel like there are more brilliantrot cars but plenty of zinno cars too.

Do you mean paint wise or car wise? Regal red works great.

^^This^^ I used Rustoleum Regal Red to paint my mirrors on my Zinno vert. Cant tell a difference...

Of course it is temporary until I paint the car.

I've found that Krylon Cherry Red is even closer.

lol, I was searching for the answer to this question and it turns out I answered it myself 12 years ago but I can't see the answer anymore thanks to the Photobucket scorched earth policy

I can’t speak to the difference exactly, but I have been slowly exploring of the shelf rattle can colors for my 89 zinno

Old forum wisdom said that Zinno = regal red. I have found this to be FALSE. I believe Rustoleum changed their paint recipe at some point. Apple / cherry is closer.
