    repop sheetmetal?

Is there a source for sheetmetal? it doesn't even need to be a good match. I've discovered a few spots that are going to need rust replacement.

oh, and if you're giving the dealer any of your money, you're probably doing it wrong

certifit.com might be worth a try. They no longer show E30 parts in their catalog, but they used to have fenders and hoods at least, plus some other stuff.

certifit was the company I was originally looking for. I'm not looking for cosmetic pieces. just solid metal for inside the wheel well or underside.
I understand the need for proper copies. I'd still try elsewhere before the $$tealer.

I totally forgot about the horrible body kits they offer. you should look at the rest of their site, VWs etc./

To have posted a one-word answer, without any supporting info, would imply that you either don't have time to be bothered with someone asking for help. or you just think you're better.

                        Then,

On that note though, I am no expert. I will be the first to admit that I'm a cheap bastard and I tend to break tools when I fix things.

I'm glad that I'm on a forum with some experts though, in case I need any help.
