07 Rabbit 3 door. Seller says it was professionally repaired and that nothing happened to the suspension, and that all work was repaired professionally. Supposidly the car runs straight with no alignment issues

It's been all fixed up now, but I wouldn't be comfortable with a car that's had that much work

I wouldn't be too worried about it. I see they said nothing happened to the suspension, but it is on a frame rack, so they did have to wrench on it with some force. I would be comfortable buying at that discount if I could see the readouts from being on the frame rack, and getting a 4 wheel alignment check/PPI.

Its a quarter panel, no big deal.

Its on the rack to make sure that everything stays straight when welding... It doesn't mean that they had to pull anything out.

are the prices you list, prices with a reconstructed or branded title. That often drops price pretty big

Looks like a normal quarter panel damage repair to me. Check paperwork from repairs, get the alignment specs, and give it a test drive to check for any noise/vibrations/rattles. Otherwise, looks good to me. I'd rather have that car then one where they just pulled and bondo'd the dent.

If you cant drive it to determine if it actually drives straight, then no its not a good buy.

I believe your title is quite misleading. From what you mentioned the work has already been done? If the car drives great I wouldnt be to worried about it. Some kind of alignment specs would also be pretty beneficial.

looks like the sectioning of the quarter is being done properly ( for the most part)
if all repairs are already completed, do not worry, specially at that price.
there is no problem with buying a car that has been repaired as long as the repairs have been done properly ( and the car has a clean title)
