Gauging Interest in Wide Body Kit

Hey everyone, when it comes to wide body options for our cars; the market is very limited. You can A) throw on some fender flares or B) Go with the M3 style, which in all it's too expensive or it just doesn't look right in my opinion. I think I found an option that you all might be interested in. It offers great clearance and can be screwed or molded on. Here are some photos

I would like to know how many people would be genuinely interested. These are made in Lithuania. I am in contact with someone over there who will be helping us out. I don't have a set price yet, since I am still sorting out shipping. I am hoping to have a number figure by next week. If anyone has connections with shipping overseas, please pm me. Just gauging interest to see if it's "group buy" worthy.

    Thanks
    Ham

I've seen this before but I figure if you are going to do it...why not go with M3 style fenders? I don't see how going with the M3 style would be any more work than what you pictured. In fact, M3 front fenders would be a lot cleaner since they bolt on while you still have lay and attach these on top of your stock fenders. To me, this looks odd...like pulled stock panels.

With any option, it's going to require work (cutting etc). This one doesn't defer. It's simply another option that looks unique I think.
I always liked the simplicity of the non m3 lines and this kit offers that with a bit flare. Also, I come from a nissan back ground and this stylereminds me of a rocket bunny :p

The kit itself is not expensive, it is shipping. If I can work out a price with the freight company, We can have an alternative wide body kit at a very competitive price.

Man, the way the slots for the body molding angle upward looks bad.

That's what I thought right away. Sorry, but I really don't like it. If it was really necessary to fit 245s or whatever on an e30 (which I think is overkill) then I would just get some regular arch flares.

It turned out to be more expensive then I thought. I've received a couple of quotes that are in the ballpark of 1k for just shipping, which doesn't work for me. I am waiting on a couple more quotes but, the idea is to have these kit priced at around 1k shipped. To cut cost, These kits may be shipped via greyhound, but we'll see. Anyone have experience shipping body kits?

Honestly, for 1k I don't think you'd have much (if any) interest. Just being honest.

Reason being, the m3/evo wide body fenders can be had for about the same price and the fronts are complete bolt on fenders.

Yea, if I can't get a better price on shipping, it's simply not worth it. I'll let you all know what happens.

Are you really surprised? There have been lots of nice aftermarket body panels made overseas in Europe, etc for years but what always kills it for us in the USA is the shipping. The dollar isn't strong enough to make it worth it.
