Paint Plan opinions (trim, valence, bumpers)

So I'm planning on getting some basic body work done when all the snow melts and it gets a little warmer, and am just looking for some opinions on my plan.
I'm planning on doing the rockers, bumpers, trim, and front/rear valances, and my car is Schwartz Black.

Trim: SEM black trim paint --> should i prime, or is super high grit sanding enough (the trim's in good shape apart from fade).

    Bumper:
sand (high grit), filler primer, sand again.
Base coat, high grit sanding, base coat, high grit wet sand.
clear coat, wet sand if there are any blemishes left, clear coat, clear coat.

    Rocker panels/lower fender:
I heard 3M rubberized Undercoating spray was great, as is Marhyde.
Which one is a better texture/colour match?

    Valance:
Here's where i'm stuck - there's been a lot of conflicting opinions when i searched, so i'm kind of stuck..
I want to keep the textured finish. Should i clean and respray over it with a rubberized undercoating, then duplicolour over it then clear?

    TIA!

I've had better luck with the SEM when applied over primer. If you use black primer, the SEM will go farther as well. Primer is cheaper than SEM.

When I painted my car this past summer, I completed all body work, primed, sanded, primed, sanded etc. until I had the desired finish. I sanded my final primer with 600 on a block.

For the color and clear, I shot a 1k sealer, 2 coats of color, and 3 coats of clear all applied in succession with respect to their flash times. I see no need to sand between color coats...the panels should be blemish-free after you're finished with primer.

I don't have any experience with the textured finishes as I got rid of it on my car. I'd probably strip it and start fresh with 3M's rocker schutz if I were going that route.

Hope that helps a little bit!
