    Fiberglassing a foam spoiler?

Has anyone attempted using fiberglass resin to hardin and sand out a lip spoiler made from foam? (ie. the Pfeba lip spoiler I just picked up). Will it work or just ruin the foam?

The spoiler is still good.. no defects.. I was just looking for a way to make it look nicer.

What effect would the fiberglass resin have on it?

I would like to be able to paint it the same color as the car - which is undecided at this point.

I was actually going to tell you that I used some of our stuff on mine (foam) to make it black again and it worked out really good. If you decided that you want a black one let me know. I can let you know exactly what you need.

                    Just experiance, not a plug.

I think the resin would eat away the foam.

                      Sold it.

Is it sealled cell foam, or open cell? What kind of foam is it? There is either Epoxy Resin, Polyester Resin or Vinylester Resin to choose from, depending on the type of foam.

I believe it was originally sealled cell foam but the top is wron from weather. It still looks good but I wouldn't consider it sealled cell foam now. The foam type is a very dense thick foam almost like rubber.

sand it, prime it sand it, paint it with flex agents in both primer and paint, you'll be good for 2-3 years depending on the quailty of the job
