    Front Bumper Fitment

I am a new owner of a 1991 325i, the previous owner really did not care for the car in any way...
The car had a small front end damage on the bumper. Basically the passenger side bumper shock was busted. The shock mount looked slightly crooked. I removed the bumper and the bumper cover and got a replacement shock. I am now trying to understand how the bumper should fit on the car. I bent the shock mount trying to make it flat but the fitment still does not look right. Can anyone help me, if you happen to have your bumper cover off. Would you take some measurements:
Distance from top bumper core to the top where valance end, distance from bottom bumper core to bottom where valance comes out. Distance from bumper sides to a reference, like bumper side mounts.
I know it's a lot to ask but if anyone of you have time it would be greatly appreciated.

Stupid me its missing the black rubber bit and its wings that wrap around to the side. It does sit about right. It may be a bit too much to the left side of the car if looking over the bonnet. The fibreglass bumper shouldn't warp a whole lot.

That's the core under the plastic bumper. Plus those headlights are correct for his 91.

I managed to center my bumper by mixing&matching bumper shocks from my stockpile, and moving the shock mounting bolts left/right slightly.

I found it easy to do with the plastic cover on, so maybe just wait until you find one.

Sorry for the late reply. I found out that when the previous owner hit something on the passenger side, other than breaking the bumper shock he also bend the driver shock, therefore the this sits crooked to towards the driver side. Im fixong my bumper cover and will follow your advice and but the cover on and then try to center it. Thanks
