    refinishing stock IS spoiler

So i have inherited a stock IS spoiler which im gonna put on my project but its in sad shape, i just finished going at it pretty good with sand paper. Used 150 for the really rough spot, then 220 and 440 for finish, but there are some pits and divits on the surface of the spoiler over the years which have formed. My Sanding has only exposed them more.

Is it ok to bondo these spoilers? My friend was saying since spoiler is somewhat a rubber material or at least somewhat malleable, that bondo would crack or fall off if the spoiler flexed at all with install.

So i am wondering what some other options are and what other people have done.

here is the spoiler this far:

    '99 e46 323i - wrecked
    '87 e30 325iS - sold
    '91 e30 325i - sold
    '89 e30 M3 - fun car
    '09 e91 328i - sold
    '97 impreza - rally car - flipped
'08 impreza - new rally car
    '01 996 tt - more fun car
    '82 Ford f350 - work truck

Or buy some bumper flex adhesive. It's a two part product, kind of like JB Weld, but it's rubbery and flexible, yet sandable. It's designed for plastics and won't pop out or distort. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...beQH8HT14PGTgl

This guy did a write up on fixing an M-Tech 1 spoiler. It is made of the same rubber material.

I repaired one that didn't have any paint left. Basically just used many many heavy coats of 2k filler primer. This fixed all of the small crack and then sanded smooth, sealed, then painted to match the car.

so this isn't like other plastics? I thought the wings were just plastic... you could sand a little, use a filler, sand, filler, sand, filler, sand, prime, sand, prime, paint.... wrong?
