I attempted to do a plastic bumper swap to my 87 325. How do I eliminate the 1/2 inch gap left all around the front bumper? did i do something wrong? the screw holes lined up perfectly but the valance itself seemed a little off. hellppp!!

If there's a 1/2" gap you have wrong parts somewhere. Front is 100% bolt on.Comment

I made sure I had everything I needed before I went ahead to do the swap. All parts from the plastic bumper
On the valance, although all the screw holes lined up perfectly, the valance was still off by a little. <that might be the start of my problems.
You see a small 1/4 inch gap on the bottom of the bumper and at the top. I did some searching on a forum, and they said you need to adjust the bumper shocks
How is that possible?Comment

Try hosting the picture somewhere other than google docs.Comment

Yeah I cut em off... I just figured it out. When mounting the shocks and side mounts, they need to be held upward when tightening for proper alignment. It's not perfect, there is still a small gap but it's better than it was.Comment
