    Plastic bumper problem

I attempted to do a plastic bumper swap to my 87 325. How do I eliminate the 1/2 inch gap left all around the front bumper? did i do something wrong? the screw holes lined up perfectly but the valance itself seemed a little off. hellppp!!

Pictures? Did you replace the front valance as well?

If there's a 1/2" gap you have wrong parts somewhere. Front is 100% bolt on.

I made sure I had everything I needed before I went ahead to do the swap. All parts from the plastic bumper
On the valance, although all the screw holes lined up perfectly, the valance was still off by a little. <that might be the start of my problems.

You see a small 1/4 inch gap on the bottom of the bumper and at the top. I did some searching on a forum, and they said you need to adjust the bumper shocks
          How is that possible?

Try hosting the picture somewhere other than google docs.

Did you cut your tow hooks off?

Yeah I cut em off... I just figured it out. When mounting the shocks and side mounts, they need to be held upward when tightening for proper alignment. It's not perfect, there is still a small gap but it's better than it was.
