    superglue on my paint???

Last night, I noticed that I have a trail of what appears to be superglue (or some extremely runny adhesive) on my driver's door. It's right under the wing mirror, which makes me even more confused; there's no way it could have come from above.

Any suggestions to remove it without ruining the paint?

Try acetone (nail polish remover) or just rubbing alcohol - how thick is the trail?

They make a solvent specifically for removing cyanoacrylate (super glue or CA glue). In my experience, acetone doesn't do much.

You might try scrapping it off with your fingernail or a plastic scraper first. Start easy then work your way up. Use only what is necessary to remove it and no more. Much less chance of messing up your paint this way.

You could sand it off too. Knock it down with 800. Then switch to 1200 or 1500. Expand your sanding zone a little. Then go to your final sand grit 2000 or whatever you want to finish with. Buff and polish to complete the job. Use a soft sanding block when cutting the glue. Something like this..

I got something called goof off--it didn't work too well, but the white edging is gone. I heard 3M makes an adhesive remover, don't know where to find it.
