on my, or shall I say my friends new 318is, the paint was horridly messed up underneath the badge. it wasn't like a factory spoiler, where you took it off and felt/saw that Oh so smooth unweathered perfect factory paint, No. Its like the paint that is chipping off by your rocker panels and looks like shit. Then as we tried to smooth it out with 500 grit and 1000 grit, we started to see grey-ish colors....Maybe yours isn't so bad. Take it off...don't like it/not getting anything painted soon, then get some double stick foam tape and put that shit back on. Unless you were gayed like me and didnt have a 3 to go along with the 18is. -
De-badging
What do you guys recommend for removing the 325 off of the trunk? Ive been told a hair dryer, which seems like the best choice.
Also, will the paint where the badge is currently be noticably different than surroundings? I can see you being able to see 325 is nicer looking paint than the rest of the trunk lid.
