Don't. Macco is the worst you'll get a shitty paint job with orange peel everywhere and tons of over spray. They do ZERO prep work I don't think I've ever seen a good macco job.

I disagree. If you do the prep yourself, they can do an ok job. If your'e talking concours, run away. I've had 3 DD's done at Maaco in the last 30 yrs, all of them held up well.

Assuming Macco = Maaco - Kamotors had his done there and says it held up

Do you have 'one day paint' shops there?

If I don't go with macco, does anyone know a shop in PA I can get a decent/pretty good paint job for a grand?

prep your self and drop off at maaco, my car was painted in 2008. You can get it done for under $800 very easily

                    Still looks fine to me.

This is a local maaco job, done a few years ago, looks good.

Like everyone said, Do you prep, have them spray then find someone to buff it.

One thing to consider is that not all Maaco's are the same. There's one here in Sunnyvale that does great work. One of the guys there is even on R3v. Although this is no $800 paint job, this is some of their work: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...=251334&page=7

Your car is beautiful, if you got it done by macco then I will get mine done there. The car I'm hopefully getting is inspired by your E30.
