Generally you'd drill out the spot welds to remove the old one, and spot weld the new one back in. Or is there something more specific you're looking for?

Yes drill the 40 or so spot welds and replace it. Look at my thread I replaced a rocker with a fixmyrust rocker.

No need to remove the entire rocker if only a small section is rusty. Cut out the bad spot and weld in new.

If you do end up removing the entire rocker, you may want to brace across the door or things may sag and not line up properly later.

In the same boat here, with the passenger side. FMR had the rockers on backorder though, fools never answer the phone and don't update you...
Hope the product is decent though.

Euroe30, I looked through your fix restore thread and didn't see any details on the rockers (you just cut out and weld new in?). Repairs are sweet though.

So where should one start with removing and then putting the new one in???
Cut it out, drill it out???
How do you brace the door/frame, what do you use?

Drill the spot welds and them cut it out the rest of the way and then cut and match the new one to it.

Great, I wanted to cut it out myself and match it up with the new one. Now only if fixmyrust would hurry and send me my rocker i ordered literally a months ago. They have the worst customer service ever, the chick answering the phone sounds cute tho
Srs, takes 15 mins for them to check my order and they can never give me a strait answer on the same call.
