Im going to sand my car down to bare metal eventually, but first I must take care of aerodynamics :hitler:

Check the red e30 in his sig. It has a Zender wing with a adjustable flap.

Theres some crazy spoilers on the fast autox cars and those speeds are never over 100mph, so Id say they are useful. My car is all about function over form, and every little bit adds up. Front spoiler, rear spoiler, mirrors, etc. these are all things Im looking into improving as long as its not the 0.01% improvement that the iS does

Ask those who know (e.g. engineers, racers, or both in one) and they'll say it makes a difference at even autocross speeds, especially in a light car. Air is pretty dense fluid. I know that only because I also believed it didn't matter and got told.

I've always understood that downforce is negligible at speeds under 100 mph with just about any wing on any car.
I'm not sure about that... I'd say downforce starts becoming a thing around 65-70 no?

    all sarcasm aside...

    ...this^

It's interesting to know. mostly interested in drag since the right aero mods can contribute to MPG.

Interesting...i'd like to know as much info about my Hartge spoiler as possible. Was wondering if there is any benefit to either drag coefficient or down-force.

anyone actually using vortex generators on the roof combined with a deck-lid spoiler? Any data?

That sounds familiar to me as well. It was like 3% reduction in turbulence behind the car? Also the db spoiler valance gained the SE30 guys like 5mph on the straights.

    downforce or drag coefficient?
m3 evo is probably the best downforce without doing super ricer wing

a vortex generator roof spoiler may be the best for drag coefficient

E30 m3 would be my best bet as the championship records speak for them self's.
