Scares me because a: its fiberglass and when done right, they can be good pieces but who knows if they are. And b: price seems kinda high when you can get others for 4-500 shipped.
I've had the BMP rear apron on my car for nearly 10 years. It's one of the thickest, best quality, aftermarket fiberglass pieces I've ever seen. I bought it used, so I have no idea how old it is or what it's been through before I bought it, but I was rear-ended once and t-boned twice, once on each side. Two of them were minor, one destroyed the quarter panel. All 3 impacted the bumper, and only scuffed the paint. Not a single crack in the fiberglass. One of the corners did 'bubble up' a bit over the past year, I just sanded it down and re-fiberglassed that spot, good as new.
If they haven't changed their manufacturing process, then I highly recommend it, as it is an incredibly durable and high quality piece. I do know that the front aprons, which aren't fiberglass, are junk... and the BMP 'kit' has a bad rep because of it.
Here's my bumper repair post, it has some close up pics of the bumper and the fiberglass used.
