6 months, it's still as solid as it was when I attached it. I wash my car twice a week and spray the shit out of it with the pressure washer.
But like people are saying, they are heaver than is spoilers.

I spoke to someone who said i can drill the holes from underneath the trunk since there are already slots where the plastic nut would screw for the lighter IS spoilers. Will have to take a look this weekend.Leave a comment:

...make a template and drill the holes. These spoilers are heavier than the OEM. Use either stainless or brass alloy hardware.Leave a comment:

I think im siding towards this.
Haha...just behind the keyboard? My brother also used some heavy duty double sided tape and you'd swear it's bolted on by how rigid it is.
Anyways, I wouldn't opt for removing the studs on an mtech1.
Find someone with an IS spoiler on their trunk and use that to make a stencil and take home.

That sounds like a good plan also. Thx
My E39 had a small trunk lip which was taped but as you said, these MT1 spoilers are hefty...Leave a comment:

On later cars (e46 M3s for example), BMW attached spoilers with doublesided tape from the factory. Not sure if that's just lip spoilers, Mtech1s are pretty substantialLeave a comment:

Once that spoiler goes on, I'm sure you'll leave it on. Drill the holes, its not a big deal.Leave a comment:

There is a DIY for drilling here on the site if you search.
I opted to not drill the trunk and in stead cut the studs on the spoiler and double sided taped it to the car. It's held up very well.Leave a comment:
