got my OEM mtech2 from: http://www.bmparts.co.uk/

you will save a lot if you ship by boat to the US rather than shipping by plane. shipping by boat takes a long time though (maybe a month or more).

When searching on ebay.de make sure you alter your seach a few times to get all of the auctions (mtech, m-teh, mtechnik, ect)

make sure you put paypal auctions first. Usually these are the more educated people and will be willing to ship the US. Always send messages in English. If they can't speak English don't even bother with them.

If your looking on ebay.co.uk then just go ahead and ask anyone to ship the US, regardless of if they have paypal or if it says in the auction that they will ship to the US. If you get an auction where he does not ship to the US but he says yes when you ask him, more then likely your going to get a good deal.

What kind of process did you go through to mod the oem M-tech 2 on your 86...I have an '87 325is, and I'd like to do the same depending on how much time and money it would take.

M tech II is o.k. to get from germany, except the rear bumper, it is the olny piece too large to fit in the mail. good luck finding one though. they are pretty saught after over here now a days too.
