    shadowline on blue e30?

i saw a few cars that are avus and other blues that have shadowline trim and they look good and im debating wether or not to do it. So far teh best idea i can come up with is take electrical tape and mask it off and see what it looks like. But im curious what you guys think. its LeMans Blue so its a little brighter than Avus or Midnight blue or one of those blues. I have pics some where i will try to find them

Chrome gives it some contrast. Is the bright work in good shape? If not shadowline it.

yeah actaully it is, its funny though my moms e46 330xi the bright work is all stained from hard water and oxidized, yet my 20 eyar old bright work is in immaculate condition. If i was going to do it i would try and get some shadowline from another car rather than destroying this perfect trim.

Chrome in moderation looks good. Funny look at the newer Audi's and Mercedes and BMW's and they have a small degree of chrome on them now.

i think shadowline would give your car a meaner look and it would look a lot better because right now the chrome for your trim is toooo bright. the chrome almost looks white and if it were black, you could see the details of your car rather than getting the sun out of your eyes. i prefer shadowline on all e30s, except some black e30s with the right theme going on..

is it? this blue looks a little duller and less electric than the electron blue i see on 99-00 Si's

I think its the lighting in the picture that makes it look duller.

It is Si blue. But I think if you parked one next to it, there would be a difference.

Do you guys do it while on the car? I want to do it right...and want to take it off. But, the trim on the doors is a bitch to get off...isn't it? I'd also need a bunch of new clips and stuff too..
