Rear euro bumper plastic end cap differences

I notice theres a differnce between regular rear euro bumper plastic end caps and convertible rear bumper plastic end caps. I have a 87 vert US spec, I'm getting a m tech 1 apron, I know the m tech 1 has its own end caps also, which i can't find. can I buy the convertable end caps and use the m tech 1 or should i get the regular end caps and mod to fit.

I had purchased mt1 end caps by accident and compared them with the regular ones. The mt1 caps are regular caps trimmed to clear the aero kit. Convertible caps are longer than ones used on coupes/sedans. I would buy the vert caps and trim them on the bottom to fit the mt1 apron.
