Burgundrot Metallic Paint Question

My 1986 325e is Burgundrot Metallic, paint code 199. The car will be going in for a total re-spray to fix some clear coat issues as well as taking car of the dents and dings it has accumulated in its 31 year life. No rust thankfully.


My question is this, I know the factory color is a metallic but, could I get the same burgundy color mixed but not in a metallic? My goal would be a deeper, wetter looking paint job but one that would still match, as close as possible, the areas that don't get painted like the underside of the hood, trunk, inside the engine compartment, etc....

I believe this is a members car??? This may not be an original 199 Burgundy, but is a nice looking close proximity to it and I would be very happy if my paintjob came out this nice.

Hey guys, I know this was posted quite some time ago but I have recently picked a very similar (with some work to be done) model e30 323i manual coupe in Burgundrot Metallic. I am having some trouble finding any information on any cars with this spec - was shocked when i saw this post above. If anyone knows the owner or any way i can get in contact with them Id truly appreciate it. Very tasteful build, thinking of something like this for mine - just have to try and be patient and get through being broke and in uni lol. Any information on these cars with similar if not the same specs would be great. There doesn't even seem to be much in terms of sales and sales history for these things here in Aus. Cheers!

Wasn't the 30 323i one of the earliest models with a quirky engine management?

The car in the photo has a German license plate. You have to search for it on German forums.
