    Fender Rolling - Fender Liners

    Hey Guys,

I apologize if this has been discussed in the past, but I searched here and at a few other boards but couldn't find a specific answer:

Does rolling the front fenders effect fender liners at all?

    TIA,
    Mark

Yup, that's what I'm referring to. Rolling is going to leave .125" - .25" gap between the fender lip and the liner - does the liner just 'float' alongside the wheel opening on the fender?

        TIA!, Mark

The fender liner is attached via hardware to the inside(engine side) of the wheel wells. I remember having to undo nuts to tear my fender liner out to eliminate some rubbing issues.

Okie dokie, so the liner doesn't fasten to the fender lip... next question, do I need to remove the fender liner to roll the lip?

                  Done!

Rolled the front fenders today - it was a piece of cake but contrary to some opinions, it is wise to remove the fender liners. In order to keep the paint crack/peel-free, we used a heat gun to bring the paint temp to 120f - that kind of heat would damage the liners.

I didn't think of it that way, sorry.

My fender liners were already out when I rolled the fender

I ended up cutting my fender liners alittle so that they did not sit down as far when I rolled my fenders. They were sticking down below the fender and making the car look horrible.

Oh btw what roller did you use?
