See if Rustoleum has the clear, don't try rattle canning over the roller job, i don't know why, but it reacts...BAD!
Use mineral sprits, 100%, not low oder, the real deal, hard to find, but you'll regret it if you don't, the paint will take weeks to dry.Comment

I think rustoleum has the clear coat. I'll try to find real mineral spirits. I dont know if that's exactly legal, but I don't think lowes has them.Recent Rebranding!!

No, the Rustoleum paint can says to use Acetone to thin the paint, don't use it, i waited a week for the paint to dry before giving up and stripping it off.
100% Mineral Spirits is what you want, dried quickly.Comment

how does this paint stand up to fading after 6 months to a year? how does it stand up to rock chipping? does it orange peel very much if you use the proper foam roller?
sorry, but just the normal questionsMy 2.9L Build!

Yeah, from what I hear you have to do 2 coats at a time. progressively sanding more fine each time. That way the orange peel kinda phases out after each additional coat.
As far as fading, i think it depends on the color you choose... I don't think white will fade as much as a darker color will. For a project like this, I agree 100% with stereoinstaller, Use white. It will show the least imperfections and show the least fading if any.Recent Rebranding!!

Rustoleum is Tremclad.
I painted my shop sign in "Gloss Sail Blue" Rustoleum. I used a sheet of 5/8" Plywood, sanded with 80 grit on a DA, rollered Rustoleum on it, using a house roller, unthinned.
If it has faded, I cannot tell. It still looks great. Still shiny as day 1.
