    will it work?

i know im probably gonna get alot of shit for this.
but i need to get a new front valance and bumper, I think it would look good even on a non-m.

it can fit, but it will require some work because the M3 fenders are wider. it's definitely been done before though.

Theres a difference in sticking an M badge on a non M car and adding a few things to spice the non M car up. At least I think so...
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Agreed. Not to mention it takes some skill to modify it to work. You're not just trying to be an M, you end up having the looks of an M.

Again, on the purity / elitist / who gives a crap discussion of M parts on non M cars... What does it matter???

Maybe he wants a bigger, better air dam, one that is more effective. Maybe he wants a different, more unique front end. Maybe he likes how it looks, who cares if it's not an M!

It will fit. The M3 has wider fenders where they flare out, but the front bumper / spoiler is flexible. You might have to fabricate some supports and brackets, but thats not rocket science. It might not look 100% perfect without a bunch of work, but it will look cool.

Let me know if you want a bumper to try it on. I'll sell it C-H-E-A-P.

                Ahhh Haa Haa.

Efff the Jordans of this world. We all are in the hunt to make an E30 we can call 'our own creation' to set it apart. Have fun and do it. I think it would look great. I see a E30 on here with a Sport Evo rear wing, and it ain't a M from the factory, but it looks great. One of my 5 favorite non-M's.
Like someone else said, HUGE diff between slapping a ///M badge on a standard E30 vs. taking the time to make a M front airdam work. Without the badge it would take a trained eye to note the M3 airdam, generally most would just see it as a pimped E30 - and the source parts would be hard to identify.

I think it sounds like a great project. And the result will pimp the front of the car.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

I don't care about about the whole ///M vs non-///M. Only way it would look good is to put the rear ///M bumper on as well, and shave the side/door moldings. I myself am kind of interested how that would look.

Yeah seriously. There's only one person driving the car, and that's YOU :)

Excuse me while I go affix six M badges to my car.

Ok now that weve gotten the ol lets not hurt anyones feelings part out of the way...

I think it will look goofy unless you put some sideskirts on and modify the rear valence. Just wont flow well otherwise.

im not sure if the m skirts will work because of how it flares out when it reaches the fenders?

i have a m-tech rear valance, so thats not a problem.

I consider myself more on the purist side but I dont think its something you shouldnt do. I think itll look good. Theres someone on DTMPower that has done it. I believe his name is "ANDRU" with the umlauts above the U. I say got for it. Especially since your car is black and you wont notice the door moldings not being body color and the ///M3 bumper not having a bumper molding.
