I know a guy who took his old Ford truck to Maaco in Canada, we had heard they were a different outfit entirely up there, and in a really good way. The trick is to strip your car at home, pick a dry day to get your car painted, leave just enough stuff on your car to not get pulled over on the ride up.
Make the appointment for morning, show up waaaaaay early, bring boxes, and unbolt the remainder of stuff in the parking lot.
Then do your final wipedown with solvent. Do what ever masking you need, then be done just in time for your appointment.
My buddy didn't even bring his own paint, but he was acrylic enamel, so it was tough paint - still looks great and it's been ~3 years. I mean really nice too - he was a former bodyman, so he spent a week of evenings block sanding and body buttering it, and just spot primering as he went.
The truck is gloss black, and he colorsanded himself after 2 days. The end result looks like a $4K paint job - really.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

You think the last 2 would be good? Could I do the 50 grit and the 80 grit with this?
They use a LOT of air...I hope you have a big compressor..I have a 60 gal with 135psi, and it eats up pretty quick
