SEM Trim Paint - Do you clear it? Buff It? What do I do?

My spoiler should be arriving soon for the rear of my car.

I am going to sand down what is currently on it and paint it with SEM Trim. They are claiming no primer is needed. Is this true?

Now it will obviously get ALOT of sun here in Georgia. Should I do anything special to it? Clear Coat? Some type of non gloss clear coat? Anything or is it same as it is? Just sand old, spary a couple of coats and mount?

      Gents,

I'd recommend simply doing a light wetsanding and respraying it with SEM Trim Black once a year. It'll always look new.

Once a year is not bad! It takes maybe 25 minutes to take it off and wetsand, another 10 to spray paint...the rest is drying time.

I wouldn't seal it because then it's not going to match the lustre of the regular trim.

you shouldn't have to clear it, it's meant to be a one stage paint. not sure there is much you can really do about the georgia sun.. seeing all the asphalt sunbleeched white is pretty wierd.
