    late model car-->switching to plastic bumpers, what do i need?

    so i have a 1988 325 sedan, it has diving boasrds on it now, but i picked up some plastic bumpers for it. what parts are needed for the swap?? i only purchased the bumpers alone, no hardware.

      You'll need :

      Front & rear bumper shocks - total 4
      Front & rear bumper attachment bolts - total 4 - these bolt up through the bumper into the shocks
      Front & rear side slide brackets - total 4

      You will be better off buying them used or from a junkyard as last time I checked the shocks were around $70 or so per .

      You'll also have to plug the holes in the rear body where the d-board trim was bolted in .

      Then theres the side marker lights and turn signals too .
