Euro (chrome) bumpers -> plastic bumpers - direct swap?

During the repaint, I think we're going to go with black plastic bumpers rather than keeping the chrome euro bumpers. Since it doesn't have the diving boards, can I switch to the plastics without major modification?

arent chrome euro bumpers the euopean equivalent of DBs and have the early arches so therefore the rear bumper needs to be shortend?

No you cant put plastic bumpers on an early model car without modification.

But why do you prefer plastic bumpers to euro? Euro's are a direct bolt-on for early cars, they are lighter, and you can get almost the same look as plastics if you paint them body color.
