Going to paint my car with Hurculiner Bed Liner This Week
Irreversible my ass. Media blaster will take that stuff off no problem. Granted it's a ton of work, but it's hardly irreversible. No worse then paint with spray paint, which also has to come off before paint a car.
I kind of like the look, but I will agree, your execution is a bit sloppy. Should have left the trim/ molding stock and should have removed things like the bumpers to paint behind them.
what the? why? oh well, throw some big 18 stealies on and drop the car, have a few of the reflectors hanging out and 1 or 3 bulbs out, maybe even a broken headlight would make it look like a junkyard special! :nice:
not my best work - but I had photoshop open anyways.
your off on the price a bit, but still funny
seriously though no one said it was would look pretty. i was just looking for something that would be cheap, eliminate the rust and go on evenly (it looks uneven because the pics were taken under a tree as is casting a bunch of shadows.) i think it still looks better than the ole rattle can job. i still have some more work to do to it sanding ect..
I picked up a $500 '87 325, and there is no way in hell I would do this to it. No matter how much-or little-time I put into working on a car, that effort will be spent making an overall improvement to the vehicle-not making it worse.
I have seen a lot of, uh, 'different' ideas and directions over the years on this forum...this one is right there at the top of that list in my opinion.

There are few things more expensive than a cheap BMW...

But whatever, it's your car.
and you see him media blasting after this dislplay of detail given to this car?
im still not sure why you guys keep saying it was done with no detail. everything came out even no drips on the windows lights ect (they were masked or removed). if you would please explain in your post rather than bash, hell didn't someone here cover their car in vinyl camo? it's not like it was going to be a show car. if it is because of the material used. i still think this look a hell of a lot better than a rattle can job
You keep saying "rattle can", was the car really sprayed, it shows good reflection in your signature picture. I mean that's one hell of a rattle can job...
