    IS spoiler crack fix???

It appears this is common on the aged spoiler. Is there a way to fix this? Or is the time and effort is not worth what it would take to buy a new one...

no! like "bondo" but made for flexible repairs. IE plastic.

I took mine to a body shop. 80.00 to fix & paint.

if it costs more than buying a new used one, typically $40-$75 pending paint/condition, then there is no point in a fix.

Rarely are they available used, even if you hit the lottery & found one it still needs to be painted.

Or are you also finding them in your color & not in need of any cosmetic help?

I took some rubber tool grip dip paint and sprayed it on after sanding down, painted with wrinkle finish paint and topped it off with some regular black.

I thought the OP was referring to a front is lip.

                  I apologize.

I took some 400 grit to it last night in a small spot to see how it would turn out. I got some of the cracks to appear shallower than before, but did not want to do the whole thing until I read the posts.

                    What grit should be used?

I don't really remember what I used, I did this years ago. I guess it was about 300 or so.

Finished sanding it down to get all of the old paint off. I will now look into trying some of the suggestions...

anybody ever used undercoating paint? I was thinking about trying that and sanding to a smooth surface prime, then paint.
